What We Cannot Do — An Honest Note

DUPGS is a small team running a focused platform. We want to be transparent about our limitations so you do not waste time waiting for something we cannot deliver.

  • We cannot guarantee PG availability. Listings on DUPGS reflect the state of a property at the time of listing. A room that was available yesterday may be booked today. Always confirm with the property owner.
  • We cannot visit PGs on your behalf. We are an online platform and do not have staff who can physically inspect properties. We recommend asking the owner for a WhatsApp video call before you arrive.
  • We cannot negotiate rent for you. We show pricing information transparently, but the actual negotiation is between you and the property owner. Our blog has guides on how to negotiate rent in Delhi.
  • We cannot resolve rental disputes. Once you move into a PG, any issues with the owner are a private contract matter. We are not a legal intermediary.

Can DUPGS guarantee that a listed PG is available?

No, and we want to be completely honest about this. DUPGS is a discovery platform — we list PGs and provide information, but we do not manage bookings or reservations. Availability changes constantly as students confirm their accommodation. When you find a PG you like on DUPGS, use the contact details on the listing to reach the property owner or manager directly and confirm current availability. I found incorrect information in a listing. How do I report it?

Please use the contact form and select "Report a Listing Issue" as your category. Include the listing name, the specific detail that is wrong (for example, wrong rent amount, incorrect metro distance, inaccurate photos), and what the correct information should be. We review all reports and correct verified errors quickly. You can also find this option under the "Listing Errors" category when you browse PGs near your college.

Can DUPGS visit a PG on my behalf before I arrive in Delhi?

Unfortunately, no — we are a small team and cannot physically visit properties on behalf of students. What we can do is point you toward PGs that have complete, detailed listings with photos, amenity lists, and metro distance information. We recommend calling the PG owner directly before arriving and asking for a video walkthrough over WhatsApp, which most genuine owners are happy to provide. How can property owners list their PG on DUPGS?

Property owners and PG managers can list their accommodation directly through our list your PG page. We accept listings for all types of student accommodation near Delhi University — boys PG, girls PG, and co-ed. Listings include your contact details so students can reach you directly. We charge a small one-time listing fee to keep the platform running. Once your listing is live, students searching by college or area will find your property in their results.
