Welcome to DUPGS. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the DUPGS platform accessible at dupgs.com and any related services provided by DUPGS (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all users of DUPGS — including students searching for PG accommodation, parents researching options, PG owners listing properties, and partners engaging with our platform. Different sections of these Terms apply to different categories of users. Read the section relevant to your situation.

About DUPGS

DUPGS is a PG discovery platform — not a PG management service, not a broker, and not a party to any rental agreement between a student and a PG owner. We provide a searchable database of PG accommodation listings near Delhi University colleges. We do not:

  • Physical inspect or verify every listing to a legal standard
  • Guarantee the availability of any listed property
  • Facilitate or manage bookings, payments, or rental agreements
  • Act as a landlord, tenant representative, or real estate agent

Any rental arrangement you enter into is solely between you and the PG owner. DUPGS has no liability for the terms, conditions, or outcomes of any such arrangement. See our contact page to report listing errors or concerns.

For Students and Parents

When you use DUPGS to find PG accommodation, you understand that:

  • Listing accuracy: We make reasonable efforts to ensure listing information is accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all details — rent amounts, amenities, photos, or proximity claims — are error-free or up to date at the time you view them.
  • Availability: PG availability changes constantly. A listing visible on DUPGS may have already been booked. Always confirm availability directly with the PG owner before making any plans or payments.
  • Visits and decisions: We strongly recommend visiting any PG in person before paying a deposit or signing any agreement. DUPGS is not responsible for any loss arising from a decision made solely based on online listing information.
  • Personal information: When you submit an enquiry or contact form, you are sharing information with DUPGS under our Privacy Policy. This is separate from any information you share directly with a PG owner.

For PG Owners and Property Managers

If you submit a listing on DUPGS, you confirm and agree that:

  • You have the legal right to offer the property for student accommodation
  • All information in your listing — rent, deposit, amenities, location, photos — is accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of submission
  • You will update your listing promptly when material information changes (rent revision, property no longer available, amenity removed)
  • You will not submit listings for properties you do not own or are not authorised to represent
  • You will not use DUPGS to solicit students for purposes unrelated to legitimate PG accommodation

DUPGS reserves the right to remove any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, or violates these Terms — with or without notice to the listing owner.

User Submissions and Content

When you submit a listing, review, enquiry, or any other content through DUPGS, you:

  • Represent that you have the right to share the information submitted
  • Confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • Grant DUPGS a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, display, and distribute the submitted content on the platform and in marketing materials
  • Accept that DUPGS may moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate, without obligation to notify you

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use DUPGS to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent PG listings or enquiries
  • Submit content that infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
  • Scrap, crawl, or extract data from DUPGS in an automated manner that degrades platform performance or violates our robots.txt directives
  • Use the platform to solicit students for broker services outside of legitimate listing enquiries
  • Impersonate a PG owner, student, or DUPGS representative
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any user accounts or DUPGS systems
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to collect information from the platform without prior written consent

Intellectual Property

All content on DUPGS — including text, design, logos, code, UI components, and our name “DUPGS” — is the intellectual property of DUPGS or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission. You are welcome to share links to DUPGS pages on social media or through direct messaging.

Third-Party Links and Services

DUPGS may contain links to external websites, including Delhi Metro route planners, DU admission portals, and other third-party resources. These links are provided for your convenience. DUPGS has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites. Use third-party services at your own discretion and review their own terms and privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Disclaimer

DUPGS is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express or implied — about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any listing, content, or information on the platform. This includes but is not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

DUPGS shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform — including but not limited to: a PG that does not match its listing description, a PG owner who fails to honour agreed terms, financial loss from a security deposit, or any dispute between you and a PG owner.

Platform Access and Termination

DUPGS reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform — or to remove any listing or content — at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in activity that harms the platform, its users, or our reputation. This includes accounts used to post fraudulent listings, scrape data, or impersonate a legitimate user.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — including any dispute about their existence, validity, or termination — shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

Changes to These Terms

We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, our business, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be communicated through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of DUPGS after any such changes means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
