What facilities do DU PGs provide?
Most PGs listed on DUPGS offer fully furnished rooms (single, double, or triple sharing), Wi-Fi, regular housekeeping, laundry services, attached or shared bathrooms, power backup, CCTV security, and optional meal plans. Are there PG accommodations with food included?
Yes — most DUPGS PGs include breakfast and dinner (home-style veg, with non-veg 1-3 days/week at mid-tier and above). Lunch is often excluded or available at ₹500-₹1,000/month extra since many students eat at college canteens. Three-meal plans are standard at ₹9,000+. How reliable is Wi-Fi in DU PGs?
Variable by tier. Budget PGs use basic broadband (10-25 Mbps) that slows during exam-season peak hours. Mid-range PGs have 40-60 Mbps reliable connections. Premium PGs offer fibre 80-100 Mbps. If video calls or online internships matter to you, verify the specific plan name and speed during your visit. Budget ₹500-₹1,000/month for personal hotspot if PG Wi-Fi underperforms.
Do DU PGs have AC?
Depends on tier. Budget (₹5,000-₹7,500 twin sharing): fan only, AC absent. Mid-range (₹7,500-₹10,000): AC increasingly standard. Premium (₹10,000+): AC standard, reliable, well-maintained. What does furnished mean in a DU PG?
Baseline furnished (every DUPGS PG): bed with mattress, pillow, bedsheet; wardrobe (ideally with lock); study desk and chair; fan; standard lighting and outlets. Mid-tier adds AC, better mattress, more outlets. Premium adds ergonomic chair, proper study table with drawers, built-in storage, high-quality mattress. You move in with a suitcase — no furniture needed.
Is housekeeping and laundry included?
Housekeeping is included at most verified PGs — weekly at budget tier, daily at premium. Laundry varies: some PGs include it (weekly or alternate-day), others charge ₹300-₹800/month extra. Clarify specifics during visit. Bringing your own laundry detergent and a drying rack is always useful if the PG relies on a common laundry line.
